French Nature Posters

One of our favorite design scouts, Abbey Nova found these amazing french posters. All the posters are "dedicated to the appreciation and preservation of nature." We're always looking for ways to bring a little nature in, and we love these! Our favorites are the apples, and trees. If you're an animal person, there are poster of sheep, city dogs, country dogs, cats...

I bought an an old, cheapo gardening book so I could gut it for the illustrations of orchids, bromeliads and cacti. (Runs away before the Society for the Preservation of Intact Books throws something)

VERY cool! I love realistic, diagrammatic sort of art.

Years ago on vacation I saw a lovely version of a "Les Lapins" poster at the gift shop at the Tuileries. It was the perfect size, a perfectly balanced graphic; ironic and beautiful and classic. My 'date' arrived and didn't buy the poster, assuming I could find it again someplace in Paris before coming home. I never did. Sigh. I'll never forget those bunnies.
