We first saw these big images side by side at a client's house. After that, we saw them behind the counter at Kid-O. We didn't know where they were from, but they stuck in our mind. They were simple, elegant and full of goodwill.
With a bit of research we discovered that they were the work of Enzo Mari (b. 1932), an Italian designer with a great legacy, who has become known for even more as "a writer, teacher, artist and designer of products, furniture and puzzle games."

The apple is also sold at Moss.
Is it wrong to think, "I can do that."
Well, do it then, or shut yr trap.
Things few of us could design: Mari's wooden fauna puzzles. Sublime.
Dear rob,
I am sorry I didn't get back to you sooner, I was painting an apple.
Love,
opinionated
Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick have the apple hanging in their Bridgehampton home.
