Visiting the Pigeon House
Introducing Andrew Zarou, an artist who works with collage, combining all manner of found paper -- such as lottery tickets, magazine cutouts and cigarette foil with a meticulous layering process of paint and drawing.
There is something of the aerial viewof maps, of labyrinths and an infectious delight in patterning and layering. I like the variety in his quality of line and the colors and shapes he chooses to juxtapose in the areas of flat color.
