It's been really hot lately, and I've been wanting to find and purchase a simple outdoor shower that would hook up to a hose and stick into or sit on the lawn. At the house we visited in Italy in June they had one, and we used it all day long. It's the perfect way to cool down when it's hot and you can put them anywhere, from lawn to roof to beach to deck. Here's my digging for the day. I got carried away and did hours of trawling. Enjoy!

I recently bought an outdoor shower by Backyard Gear, which is admittedly not as design-savvy, but just $55 and works great. Has a soap dish and a nice hose sprayer attachment.

I absolutely need one of these. Outdoor showers are probably my favorite thing about summer :) I'm sure my condo association wouldn't be too thrilled with me though haha

Hey guys, that hurts my feelings. I can't help it that my head turns into a rabbit head when my hair gets wet. I'm just glad to see that the modeling industry welcomes women of all shapes and sizes.
What I want to know (without actually clicking on the link) is FROM WHERE DOES THE WATER COME? Is it something connected to the weather, so that when you step on the base it starts to rain? Or is that the same kind of trick like when my godmother told me red lights would change to green if I blew hard enough?

i love outdoor showers. one of the best things about my family's yearly visits to fire island (see below) is the outdoor showers early in the morning and after a long day at the beach. such a summer pleasure. BUT it's essential that they're kept clean and regularly maintained in terms of spider webs, fallen leaves and branches and drippage from shower products, otherwise, they're a mess.
many people, especially those outside long island/new york only know of FI as a gay summer spot, but it's way more than that, as there are many towns to stay in, many of them singles or family-oriented.
