You may find this crazy, but Sara and I were just on vacation last week and I fell in love with these plastic beach cups. After you've drunk beer, rum & cokes and other things all day long in one of the most idyllic surroundings on earth, love for plastic drink cups becomes very possible.
So I photographed them...
As a rule I don't like plastic cups, but they are useful, particularly in the summer time and particularly around children. These, which I feel have a classic, your-parents-had-them-in-the-70's look and feel to them are lightweight, indestructible, and retro-chic with a pattern of sweaty cold water along the sides.
Then I looked them up. Manufactured by Carlisle Foodservice Products for many years, the cup is called the Pebble Optic Tumbler, made of polycarbonate, comes in five colors and costs just over $2 each. You can find them here and never ever have to think about plastic summer cups again. These are perfect.

Coyotojed--Urban outfitters has something very similar. Not quite the same color selection, so it might be a different manufacturer, or a custom design for UO. At $4 apiece, you'll pay double for the privilege of buying them individually, but it's an option.
