Country House Porn: Tom Kundig's Amazing Escapes
Olson Sundberg Kundig Allen Architects

Over the weekend I found myself daydreaming about wide open spaces and the ultimate country house. I guess being cooped up in the city in February will do that to you. What got me going was an article in the Times a few weeks ago about a house in Idaho that Tom Kundig designed for Jan Cox, an artist and designer. The images of this lone outpost with huge glass windows and warm wood interiors captured my imagination and sent me looking at all of Tom Kundig's other house designs. Wow. They are stunning...

Today, I just want to share a little archiporn with you: a group of Tom Kundig's houses. Like collecting baseball cards, I'm now collecting images of inspirational homes. This is my starting point.

The House Apart photos blew my mind. I want to be there in the dead of winter at midnight and just watch the stillness. It reminds me of one of my favorite quotes, the opening paragraph of White Fang.

No, it _does_ have to do with porn but not just this: I'd almost forgotten I was so in love with this guy!
