I saw these photos yesterday and simply loved them. Full or rich color and raw gritty imagery, they are beautiful, sexy, whimsical and refreshing on a hot city day...

Amy found Lisa Candela at a small gallery in Soho called The Candela/Decker gallery, and got Lisa's story:

"Candela takes all her photographs on film, then makes limited edition digital archival pigment prints on this wonderful heavy watercolor paper. And in her gallery on Crosby street -- you can see each encased like little treasures in hand-made frames of driftwood (made by her partner David Decker).

Some are small, almost devotional works... and others large enough to let you step into the sunshine..."

I recommend a trip to Lisa's website and to her gallery if you have a chance.

Haven't you guys posted her work like 20 or 30 times? If I'm going to look at the work of an incredible photographer, I go here: http://willgovus.com/

P.S. - This guy is 17 years old.

Really! Is there an equivalent of a "casting couch" whe it comes to getting mentioned on blog posts? Do you really want these sites to become a joke?

Please start expanding on the types of artists you post about.

There are so many talented individuals who deserve and would love the exposure your site provides.

While the editors are scouting talent, this is an LA based fine artist who is as vibrant as his works
