Okay, I love chalkboards, and I love how this looks. HOWEVER, the last thing I would want to do is sleep inches from chalkboard dust all night. Not kind to anyone with any sort of respiratory sensitivity.

Color me unimpressed...

sweet jesus, if you were doing this for a headboard, wouldn't you just wash down the damn chalkboard and then write your cute little message? it's not like chalk spontaneously and continually emits dust!

Coupled with the side of the bed pushed against the wall, this sleeping situation is my definition of hell.

The chalk dust fallout onto my pillow might dissuade me on this one. But if you can easily take it down and draw something pretty, then maybe.

the thought of the feeling of writing on a chalkboard gives me chills . . . so chalkboard decor never gives me a welcomey feeling.

I'm so over the chalkboard paint everywhere on everything trend. The only place it belongs is in the kid's room. Seems like there are at least two posts a day on chalkboard something. Move on...

Yes, my ideal sleeping space is in a grade-school classroom. Should we roll out mats on the floor for naptime?

I love this picture, too. But that has more to do with the color scheme and the vintage look. The chalkboard as a headboard may be pretty neat, if you never actually used it to write on with chalk.

For you people not having sex -- it's okay, I guess.
For people still having sex -- it'll either fall on your head or be covered with greasy, sweaty hand prints.

I'm over the chalkboard thing too, and this is probably the worst incarnation of that trend I've seen.
