I discovered these during a house tour months ago. It was a Beatles white album, rendered as a pillow with crocheted grooves and perfect embroidery so that you could read the label clearly and see the title of each well remembered song. From that one photo, a reader pointed me to the source, Toggle.co.nz, an online handmade seller out of New Zealand...

Ask Alice is the name of the person or company that makes these copies of the original issue vinyl albums, and they clearly like the old stuff, 'cause of their 20 versions, nothing gets more current than The Talking Heads. The albums include: Stones, Neil Young, Patti Smith, Led Zeppelin, Fleetwood Mac, but, strangely, no Jefferson Airplane (and no Michael Jackson...yet). Check it out.

I may need to try my hand at making some of these :) I wonder if they would be more effective as placemats/wall decor, as the pillows look a little understuffed.

These pillows are magnificent! I love them. Genius and with beautiful attention to detail!
I see that Ask Alice has just released a commemorative Off The Wall Album too...
Safarikate: I think these pillows would look ridiculous with more stuffing, no longer resembling the vinyl records they are imitating. They appear just right to me.

I didn't mean they should be more spherical, just that the edges looked too wavy. I think a fusible batting would take care of the problem, and still keep them looking flat. Keeping them a single layer of fabric, without any stuffing, would be even better, but would defeat the purpose of a pillow.
