Milk Magazine: Not Just for Kids

Here's a cool find that Jennifer Ward shared with me while photographing her house a few weeks back. Milk Magazine is a French lifestyle mag that is geared to parents and children, but has beautiful interior inspiration and photos in general. Beautifully done, it has high style and whimsy well mixed...

"MilK, because we all feel something in common: nostalgic for our childhood. And here we are, new parents with a mission: to pass on a genuine education that also helps children to develop a taste for beautiful things."

There's a magazine, a website and also a blog. It's another great Euro resource, and it's published in English as well as French. You can order through their website, and I've heard that it's sold at Pomme in Brooklyn but I'm sure it's elsewhere as well. The website can be a bit confusing - in French - but if you google search it and then translate it, it's fine.

I found a copy of Milk at Barnes and Noble (in Portland) a few months ago. At the back of the magazine was an English translation of the articles. (and amazingly it was only $12 rather than the $18 I'd seen the French only version sold for other places.)

I bought an issue of Milk last year when I was doing some research on a children's clothing line my friend was kicking off. I still have the magazine, I loved it so much. Beautiful and filled with inspiration.

Milk. Since discovering it in Santa Monica last year, I've been obsessed with their haute whim and caprice. Their website has many other goodies and, just like a chocolate-dipped madeline, is tres addicting.
