It may look like a cheeky nod to kitsch from another century, but the folks at Innermost have a more earnest explanation: "The design highlights that time is precious and fragile and should be glorified by placing it under a glass dome," they say.

Because it's "futuristic," the glass dome reads as a space helmet.
