East Village Amy has taken over our new Flickr pool! Here's one of her inspiration pics: "I love all the white with just bits of serene colors."
• Cure Clock: 59 days Remaining
• Assignment: Sign Up and Read to p. 69
• Flickr Pool: East Fall Cure Pool
SHOW US YOUR BEFORE PICS! As of this morning, 256 people have stepped forward and said they are going to improve their home in the next eight weeks. This is more than double of our last Spring Cure. In response, we're going to improve our Cure in the next few weeks by following a number of your suggestions. The goal will be to create a fixed page where you can always find the latest Cure posts.
Everyone signed up for the eastern cure so far is right here. If you want to jump in there's still time, and the signup is below.

Sign Up First: Again, we're introducing an official sign up which you will find at the bottom of this post. It is meant to improve the experience and support you as you take on your own challenge in the next eight weeks. After you read through, head down there and sign up.
This Week's Assignment: Get your hands on a copy of the book and read through page 69. This gives you all the ground work and gets you started with the interview and short quiz on the health of your home.
The Cure posts will go up twice a week on Mondays and Fridays, allowing for plenty of comment space. We will be pulling comments and pics to the front page post on each of these days and everyone is urged to take pics and post them here:
BEFORE PICS FIRST!!
>> New Eastern Flickr pool
You can also visit our old unofficial (but awesome) Flickr pool here or simply tag your pics with "apartmenttherapycure." See even older pics here too.
REMEMBER: The goal is to use the group to support, inspire and answer questions as you go. The more you participate, the more you will get out of it. But you may also lurk if you are shy ;-).

DC &...Delaware? That's a state I haven't been stuck with before.

And, apparently I was REALLY having a blonde moment when I signed up, because my username is kittykatz, not larakatz. Sorry!

My No State status is still true but I do have a province of Ontario! :)

ok, looking at the flickr pool prompted me to sign up- so many of you are starting so far ahead of me! i just moved in with my boyfriend a few months ago and have a long way to go to make this place (1300 sf house in raleigh nc) feel like my home. i had just finished renovating my old house, and now i'm basically starting over. but i'm excited!
warning: my flickr uploads are horrible. i didn't clean up or anything- and looking at them makes me realize i've got a lot of work to do! off to rip up the carpet....

It's great to see how many people signed up! I was getting worried that there was so little activity, but I guess it's just cause we're only getting started.
Just a reminder that it really helps if you put your flickr link in your profile it makes it much easier to find your pictures for people that are trying to help each other out. Sometimes it can be really hard to translate from here over to Flickr with the different screen names and all.
salley, don't worry that you didn't clean before, it will just make the afters that much more impressive! :)

hey salley, don't worry! i too live in a 1300 sq ft house in Raleigh and my "before" pictures are definitely going to be pretty atrocious as well!

Apparently my brain was also fried when I signed up-- my username is melodie-nelson, not haplochant!

GSWISZCZA:
You do realize that:
A. I'm from Delaware- please no nasty comments.
and
B. A good chunk of the DC population travels to Delaware to enjoy our beach life, night life, shopping, etc. to escape the city.
Our little state is bad ass and ALSO home of the future Vice President Joe Biden.
Not too shabby...

I am michellem and mouchoux. Sorry for the dupe entries. I am mouchoux on Flickr, so let's just leave it at that.

I associate Delaware more with PA than with DC. I have fond memories of visiting my grandparents in New Castle as a kid.
I group Maryland, VA and DC together in my mind.
