Quote of the week from pb:
"There have been times that I've been really down on my space, but I'm finding the more I work on it, the more I'm really starting to love my home."
The Next Online Cure starts October 1.

I'm still decluttering. I have now shredded 6 grocery bags of stuff that was filed for no particular reason anymore. As I continue with the project, I realize that I need a better solution for linens as they seem to end up anywhere there's space.
I'm still working my way through the leviathan. And I think I'm on the downhill side of it, though I'll know better by the end of the month.
I gave myself an August 1 deadline to have everything wrapped up. I still have CDs I need to haul to the used CD store, I want to buy a new shower curtain, and my building manager said he's going to start the bathroom repair work next week. When those things are done, I can move onto the Employment Cure--the "finding a job that I really like" project.
Ordering the new mattress was the last major Cure item for us, though there are a bajillion little things I can futz around with until they're replaced by other futzable issues.
Marva & Brian are hung up on the fact that the desired bathroom wall treatment is only in stock in blue, pink, and orange, but not in green.
If there's an eight-week employment cure, I'll sign up too
I want to be more serious about curing this time around! Though, I did do some good things, like ridding myself of my cd cases and condensing them from a stand to my media center. Someone gave me the tip to give my cd cases to a local library--this turned out to be very beneficial because the people who said they'd take them on craigslist were kooks. Just call first! They were so happy to have them, though. I felt like i'd just donated my kidney to them or something with the thanks I got.
Decluttering has always been a continuous never ending process for me. Once the whole house is covered, I realise the first room I did is cluttered again. Its just too much.
We've all been through this so many times and I feel your pain. I wanted nice things, that were good quality, current design, and most importantly, that I could afford. My girlfirend turned me on to RTA furniture and suggested a site www.ilikefurniture.com. I have bought several things from them, including a CONDO-size Dresser. Check 'em out! It's worth it.

Huh, what happened to the Oct 1st Cure?
me -- check out the open thread for October 3, there's a whole line up of us, eagerly awaiting the Cure, and starting our own Cure-stuff while we wait. In that thread, Amber mentions an article in which it states that the Cure will be beginning soon!
