apartment therapy changing the world, one room at a time

AT Interviews... James Bolosh, VP, Event Programming, HGTV

“Delicious fun.” “Pure fantasy.” “Relevant entertainment.” “A design show on steroids.”

With the unbridled enthusiasm of a proud parent, those are just a few of the ways the oh-so-charming and perhaps highly caffeinated James Bolosh described his smash hit Design Star during a one-on-one with Apartment Therapy.

If excitement were ratings points, based on James’ zeal alone, Season Two of Design Star is sure to repeat the top ratings that Season One garnered for HGTV.

James also answered the AT Top Nine, listed after the jump.

In this very generous interview, James gives ATers some interesting insight into the show, its glittering new Vegas locale, its players past and present, the returning judges and whether or not there will be any new Season Two hunks ready to give Season One winner David Bromstad a run for his tattooed money.

He also talks about how HGTV is leveraging its online space to make TV watching even more interactive, and actually used the word “blog” in casual conversation. Oh, and he’s a big fan of Maxwell’s!

And a reminder, we’ve been graciously offered access to those getting voted off each week, which should give us even more insight to what’s really going on behind the scenes at Design Star. Stay tuned!

Nice job, P2. I had to wait until I got home from work to listen. He seems like a charming chatty cathy.

VERY nice job. I'm sure you were well-prepared, but you made it sound very spontaneous.
