A weekly celebration of the chair through photography

"Dear AT,
Just wanted to share a couple of chair photos with you. This is a chair I spotted on a beach on Nantucket. I visited for the first time this past September, and found out that 27 weddings were taking place on the island that weekend. Despite the fact that 54 people were getting' hitched on the tiny island, I didn't see any actual weddings taking place or stumble onto any outdoor proceedings. I just saw a few post-nuptial artifacts: a flattened white rose in the road, a whisper of a veil disappearing into a rented tavern, a horse's flowery harness draped over an unattended carriage, and a lone, white chair that someone had left behind after a beach-bound ceremony, parked next to the Brant Point Lighthouse and turned towards the sunset."
