apartment therapy changing the world, one room at a time

Apartment Therapy In The News

habi.184.1.lamp.jpgIn the future, everyone will be famous for 15 people.... Apartment Therapy was written up in The New York Times today: "Bedford Street, Greenwich Village". We love attention, but kudos here have to go to Penelope Green for putting together such a beautifully well written article about Apartment Therapy. As we read it, we kept thinking, "Damn, that sounds good." Good writing can sure burnish your image.

Check out the cool Slideshow with narration...

What has taken several years of hard work and soul searching is bearing a little fruit. While still a quirky business, the message is clear, the website is up and running, and we are busy with clients from Fort Greene to the Upper West Side.

Hey, this is all about doing what you love and figuring out how to make a living at the same time. What we are ALL doing, Sara Kate, Oliver, myself and our friends, is hitching our idealism to our ambition and getting it to run. Life is too precious not to give it a try. MGR

Ps. The article mistakenly listed Sara Kate's blog as a .com...it ain't. It's sarakate.net and we wouldn't want to miss an opportunity to spread link love.

My theory: if I read the Times every day I will learn at least one thing a year. Eureka! Great article and terrific site. Good luck to you both.

Great Article!!!

"Don't Give Up On Your Apartment" is now my new motto. I complain to anyone that will listen how all I need is one more bedroom and life will be good. Maybe I can make it work here instead!

GREAT article and pics. Congrats on the coverage, but more importantly, for doing what you love, living how you love and (it seems) loving how you live.

But seriously, what DO you do with the mail?!? :)

oh. my. GOD. Just visited sarakate.net, and read some of the menus. I repeat: oh. my. GOD. Do you cater?!? Do you tolerate hungry yurt-crashers?!?! Why do neither of you not weigh 300 lbs.?! Amazing!

Glad I read the article and found out about your website. Love it - and love your apartment. I too live in a studio and have learned to pare, pare, pare and enjoy seeing how others decorate and live in their studios. Bigger is not always better!!
