Design showdowns are all the rage now, and our friends at Comcast are rising to the challenge by offering a custom room remodel worth up to $30,000 to the winner of the best virtually designed room! We played around designing our own ideal room for awhile, and believe us — it's pretty addictive. But the deadline for submissions is tomorrow, May 14th, so hurry if you want a chance to win! Here's how it works: Comcast Town's super cool interactive interface allows you to create and design your ideal room choosing from a whole slew of furniture, electronics and home accessories. You can start designing from scratch or choose from one of their prefab apartments if you're in a hurry. Ten finalists will be chosen based on their originality, overall design, use of assets, color and space. The winner gets a custom room remodel using their design as inspiration.
So, get to it!
1. Design your room and register.
2. Log in to your room and submit your design by May 14th, 2009.
3. Wait, hope and pray that you're one of the ten finalists chosen to go to a community vote.
4. The pad with the most votes wins!
Included in the room makeover is a 40-inch Sony Bravia® HDTV, a Sony VAIO® AW laptop, and a Philips digital phone.
