The SoundstickII System ($170) is small but capable of loud, clear sound for music, MP3's, video or any computer hookup. It also has this gobbledy-gook: "a new computer-optimized multi-band parametric equalization and Harmans unique capacitance touch control buttons." (PS. a few days after we saw them, we noticed them on D*S, and were struck - again - how certain memes circulate at the same time.) MGR

i love these and i'm so glad you guys posted them. i got slammed when i posted them cause they're not brand spanking new (who knew that was so upsetting?), but i feel validated now that the big guys deem them design worthy too. i just think they're so cool.

Oh yay! I now own something that has graced these pages. I bought mine on eBay last year -- I think I paid around $75 -- if anyone's interested in purchasing, you might try lurking around there.
I think I saw these speakers at MOMA as part of their design collection.
I own these and love them. The sound is great. The look is beautiful. D*S got slammed by someone who ignorant. There is a new iteration of the soundsticks. HOWEVER, they are beautiful, useful, and affordable. That's what I call a classic design. And we can never get enough.
p.s. They're plug and play.

I own a pair and for computer audio they aren't bad at all and they use USB out which is a plus. However, for legitimate sound, it's best to look elsewhere. So while I'd love to love them for more than just being coo looking... I can't.
i own these SUPER speakers.
Allready since october 2002. (strange that the post comes so late?!)
The sound is really amazing (a true Harman) and the look's are stunning. Highly recommended.
