Heliodisplay: Walk-In Movies

2004_9_28_helio.jpgForget HDTV. If you just shelled out the big bucks for a plasma screen you might not want to read this. While only in its infancy, projecting images into "freespace" or mid-air on its way.

Heliodisplay, the brainchild of MIT graduate Chad Dyner, is a fully interactive mid-air display system that allows you to watch and also "touch" images in thin air. Easily attached to computer, TV or streaming video, it is plug-and-play compatible with most sources and only costs $18,600. (via Gnr8) MGR
