We recieved this tip from David Rockwell, and we'd like to think that this is THE David Rockwell of NY interior design fame, who is staying up late, reading AT and sending in cool stuff he can't use at Nobu 57.

The Concerto Table was on display at the Apple Store in Soho. Designed by Nicholas Lovegrove and Demian Repucci, it is an iPod based table that plays music. It is also an "organic, iconic form" and a "compliment to any interior." It might also be for the person who has everything else in the world. (Thanks, David!)

How about an AT interview with Mr. Rockwell?
This would have solved my "I want a grand piano for my place but I want to keep my keyboards" problem. Too bad I went out and bought a digital grand :)
Incidentally, white? White pianos are so 80s.
To those interested, there are speakers built into this table. It is indeed an Ipod dock you see there.
is that silverware in the pull-out drawer or some kind of keyboard?!
Yay, we love David Rockwell!!
I think the iPod itself has set the restart button on whether white (pianos or otherwise) is "so 80s."
Some of the freshest looking stuff at ICFF used "white as a color."
I think this piece no exception.
agreed, even flat screen HDTVs are going white now (see the new samsung models).
like this thing, don't think it's very practical though... then again, who knows.

I'm not knocking white, I'm knocking white pianos. Take a look at your average Elton John video from the 80s, or any movie that featured someone with a big house.
Of course if I had my way my piano would light up and change colors, so don't go by me.
i think i love this! clever and brilliant!
White's still standing
Better than it ever did
Looking like a true survivor
Feeling like a little kid.

Where? Are you sure it is Samsung? I saw your post and went straight to the Samsung website to check them out. All I see are black, and a couple of silver ones. If you have a link to white flat screen HDTVs (whether Samsung or otherwise), could you share? Thanks.
Ah!
It is Sony who makes it, and is only available in the 50" model (bastards). Which, in short, means you are correct- it is Samsung... in so far as Sony does not manufature their own plasma screens, but instead buys the "screen" itself from Samsung.
Specifically-

Doug's comment has me laughing out loud! Doug, you da bomb! Apparently, that euphemism has dated me.
I'd much rather have the real deal!
