Hot or Not?: Japanese Aquarium Toilet

Would you do this at home? This underwater restroom, built into the side of an aquarium, is located at a cafe in Akashi, Japan.

The aquarium looks like it would be too much work, but I have to admit that it looks really great.

I have to say... I think it's kinda hot. Weird, not for my house, but in a club or even in a hotel, I think it could work.

Ha, this reminds me of one of my favorite toilets in the world, at an eco-lodge in northwest Ecuador. The toilet is next to an enclosure which houses a young ocelot, Mishi, who was adopted as a cub after his mother was killed by poachers (he was found for sale at a market). The few feet near the ceiling are the wire mesh around Mishi's pad, and he has a shelf up there. He likes to sit there and watch people doing their business.

I don't know which I find more disturbing: the aquarium or the ocelot -- which is a predatory feline, by the way.

Leaves me cold, but has a place in a high style club or restaurant. The aquarium, that is. The last ocelot I saw was on the circa mid-60s Honey West TV show.

This is fantastic. I would never install this at home. If I had the money, I'd totally visit the cafe! (I don't get Heather Leaf's Elmer Fudd reference though.)
