Pics 1-3

Hotel: Huvafen Fushi
Location: North Malé Atoll
Country: Maldives

... every bath on the islet offers a postcard-perfect panorama, the Lagoon Bungalows have free-standing tubs cantilevered over the sea and set before a wall-filling open window. Add in the in-bathroom Bose sound system and you can sing along while you soak, with the ocean on three sides and a warm breeze on your skin.

Hotel: New Majestic Hotel
Location: Singapore
Country: Singapore

...In Aquarium, for example, the bath takes pride of place encased in a glass-walled cube directly behind the bed. Guests of a less exhibitionist nature can check into the more subtle, but still striking Attic Suites which have free-standing twin tubs set in front of widescreen TVs and colourful hand-drawn murals. Alternatively, if you prefer taking bath-time outside, some suites have roll-top tin tubs set on leafy wooden terraces.

Pics 7-9

Hotel: The Brew House Hotel
Location: Kent

Country: United Kingdom

...this clean-lined monochrome-toned hotel in Royal Tunbridge Wells has brought cutting-edge techno-wizardry into its bathrooms. Nine of its ten rooms have en-suites with frosted glass walls that somehow turn from opaque to transparent at the flick of a switch – so you can maintain your privacy or turn on the tease on a whim. Most are shower-only, but three have full tubs, so if you’re seeking to soak, make sure to book one of these.

The Maldives without a doubt. My blood pressure dropped just looking at the photos.

When I was in Tahiti I stayed in a similar place as the Maldives photo.. I don't think I have ever been as happy.

The Huvafen Fushi images are pure escapism - perhaps a bit unfair to put such a beautiful view up against a city and countryside hotel - but definitely a great contrast!

I actually gave a gurgly gasp when I saw the Maldives pic while scrolling and ended up choking. Totally beautiful, bath or no bath!

LoriSF - my Tahiti trip was awful and it poured and I was sick as a dog, so every time I see a Tahiti picture I grimace. Someday I'll have to go back...

All are lovely, and I probably wouldn't choose the Maldives look for my own home, but for a vacation -- oh, yeah!

Without a doubt, for a land-based vacation the Maldives gets my vote.
