This kind of extreme reduction is one way to approach small space living. We like the elemental, even banal, quality of the furnishings used throughout the design: the stationary bike-as-sculpture, the bed with Artemide lamps, and the very simple coat rack at the entry.

I love this too. This makes me want to go home and throw everything in the trash. :D

I like how this person only wears identical black jackets, one for each day (see photo two). It must make getting dressed easy. Never been a fan of the prison toilet though.
This looks antiseptic and soul-less to me. I can easily see the occupant calmly dismembering a prostitute in the bathtub, then meticulously bleaching the space and depositing a carefully cleaned metacarpal in a lacquered box.

Max, you just made me aspirate coffee. That was hilarious!
I like the dining table, but I've never been a fan of plain white walls. Also, this doesn't look realistic to me. Does this person own socks? Towels? SOAP? FOOOD?
Agree on the prison toilet. I'd have drunk tank flashbacks every morning, and I've never actually been inside the drunk tank. Though I have picked someone up from it.

Looks nice in a magazine, but not in a real home. everything is so sterile and not comfy/cozy. Plus, that prison toilet makes me want to barf.

I love it... minimal, modern, bright, clean, open.

It is too empty to endure for any substantial period of time.

I'm a minimalist to the bone, but this is too stark and cold even for me. The whole place has a very institutional feel to it. Screaming out for some softness, warmth, and a bit of color/art.

The prison toilet is a bit much for me.

Reminds me of jail in my younger years when I use to get locked up for fighting and graff.
I think the toilet was bought from the same place county buys theirs.

yes where is ur stuff, everyone has stuff, unless its not lived in just looked at. i love the idea and if one can live like this without stuff, its wonderful. i just donated, 16 bags, boxes and loads of stuff. and it still looks like i cant stand it in here. so where is ur stuff, like a book to read, or kitchen for coffee. etc

How wonderful to have such an uncomplicated home. I love it.

Max, the stapler is right, my extra dry cappuccino is no longer extra dry; put it that way.
Love the apartment, and the evil, psycho/socio-patchic conotations.
Needs a butchers hook in the ceiling for added fear factor if you ask me...

Ooops, phat thumb...meant pathic not "patch-chic"

Stop looking at this and thinking its great. Its part of the bigger sick picture of where we are heading. Get some meds!

Quite nice. I suspect smart storage for the socks and other detritus of life.
My take on minimalism has always been the removal of distraction, to be more with oneself. I, however, do it to concentrate on the art I hang.
Ideally, a Fronzoni table, 1 chair, Pawson bench, and -- oh, hell, splurge on a couch and an Arteluce single globe.
