I love that! This room seems large enough to have something more substantial, but in a super-small powder room - What a great idea that would be!

cool idea. I would like to purpose two of the yellow ones as stools for my island. I just can't ever muster up the purchase though. always looking for a better price.

It would be very cool to fit a piece of reclaimed wood into the bottom as a shelf- that would be a great stash for a basket of hand towels and soaps.

I used to own a home with an itsy bitsy powder room that used to be a closet so I appreciate the creative thinking behind this idea. But...soap on the toilet??? Maybe a small floating shelf for necessities to make it more functional. Like the shelf idea shockthebourgeouis!

At first glance interesting, but no counterspace at all? And the faucet attached directly to drywall? As inspiration, great, but this set-up doesn't make much sense in this space.

The stool is cool, but I am sick of the wash-basin-as-a-sink look. Ten years from now these bowl-on-a-stand sinks are going to look so dated.

I very much agree with bepsf that a high-end item should not be repurposed to so little effect--functionally and aesthetically, IMO. This really could have been accomplished with something vintage and/or affordable and the stool saved for something else. It seems a bit gratuitous.

I never much cared for the stools (they look like they belong in a science lab) and am shocked by how much I love this setup.

this looks so good i want one, but can you stand at this sink without bumping your feet on the legs that angle out wider than the top. great for a show house or magazine editorial but not for everyday use.

I really like this, but how much does that sink splash? I'd probably want more shelves underneath, but I love the look.
Of course, a galvanized bucket would have made a cool sink, too.

Vessel sinks are already dated. And the leg of the stool extends past the edge of the door? Plus NO counter space. Not a little - none.

This is our powder room, thanks to Jen Levy for the design! To answer a few questions: the room is a tiny powder room, we wanted to preserve space and didn't need much storage. There is a reclaimed wood shelf in the room for storage needs that you can't see from these pics (there's a pic of it on Jen's website). No need for counter space, since the sink area is only used for hand washing - there are towel hooks above the toilet. The sliding door in the pic hides our tiny laundry area. The hardware its hung on is for barn doors and was quite affordable - you can ask Jen directly where to get it. We love this room now and it functions perfectly for us! She made the most of a very compact space.
