Castle: New Bedding from Australia

castle11709.jpg

We couldn't let Bedroom Month pass without mentioning bedding from the new Australian brand, Castle. The company is creatively driven by Rachel Castle who has been involved in the housewares industry for twenty years doing everything from producing catalogs for The Conran Shop to writing and styling for Australian lifestyle magazines. Rachel has brought her well-honed aesthetic sensibility to bedding where she pairs crisp white cotton bed linen with little splashes of color in the pillows and sheets.

Pillowcases are hotel grade 5 star, 100% cotton, 280 thread count hand printed.

All of the castle duvet covers are white, with colored covered buttons that coordinates with the sheets and pillowcases.

any idea where the lights are from in the top picture? --- are they from the US Conrad Shop?

The Conrad is from the UK but there is a store in Manhattan, one of the places I have to visit when in NY.

...and again, I'd really like to know where the artwork came from.

The artwork is from Castle too. But it's a pretty simple DIY embroidery.

to BHozier:
The lamp is from Bestlite, sold by Morlen Sinoway in Chicago... I emailed them Feb 2008 regarding these lights. The BL5 adjustable sconces retail at $850, including DHL shipping from Denmark. The least expensive sconce is the small arm sconce or BL7. This model retails for $599, including DHL shipping from Denmark.

Delivery times are approximately 4-6 wks for processing and shipping.

I think I read that this was the lamp Winston Churchill used on his desk. I think it is beautiful, but I'm too cheap to pay that, when I need two of them...

It's such a fresh look, and cozy. Makes me just want to crawl in and just enjoy.

Expensive, but damn gorgeous. If I weren't broke it'd all be mine.
