DWR Bedding Collection: Modern Software for Working in Bed

2005_9_7_dwrbedding.jpg

With all the money they got, DWR is rolling out tons of new products and moving into this decade. Their new Modern Bedding Collection with Laura Guido-Clark (who is she?) is their newest star, and it's perfect for Nesting Month.

Comprised of a bedding "system" with foundation (ie. sheets), insulation (ie. blankets)and utility (ie pillows), Over at AT LA, Alec calls it "simple," "pricey," and "a great idea."

While DWR touts how they are "remaking the modern bed," we like the colors and the softness. The sheets are all 500 thread count cotton percale, and the insulation is all natural fibers including a merino lambswool blanket and an alpaca throw (a little bit of nylon is snuck in). The colors are all warm neutrals and rich.

Problems?? This stuff is indeed pricey. A sheet set is nearly $500 and a pair of pillowcases is basically $100. Design Out Of Reach, stop teasing us!

Saw the bedding at DWR this weekend. Looks nice, great color palette, and felt pretty soft. I just couldn't get over the pricing: $500/set! I mean they're not **that** special.

DWR is too expensive. Completely OUT of reach for most folks. This bedding is nice. Love the gray/orange..

It's reminds me of Fold bedding that has been around for a while. I prefer fold.

Does anyone know where I can purchase the lime green blanket/throw in the first photo?
