Nesting With Amenity

Casting around for warm, cozy nesting ideas to blog, we checked back in with Amenity, the young Los Angeles duo, and found that they have been gearing up their collection with pillows this month, as well as some FAB new colors.

Their modern bedding collection of 400 thread count cotton duvets, shams and pillows are perfect for the fall.

I like West Elm's Tumbleweed duvet/sham set--even if it does knock-off Amenity's design. It's a good, lower-coast option for people who don't have the budget for Amenity's higher-quality but pricey pieces. All's fair in a free-market economy.

there were actually some designers doing similar designs long before amenity, intuition and west elm.

this same topic came up on my site and tons of people emailed in with links to artists doing similar work years before amenity. not sure why their stuff didn't take off, though...

i'm going through my mail to find the links...

Isn't there any affordable modern bedding out there? Dwell stuff seems kind of drab to me... it doesn't have much texture. Any suggestions anyone?

Was anyone else a little annoyed that West Elm picked up on Amenity's look and made their own pillows and sheets? I know that stuff like that happens all the time to designers, but this time I knew where the idea had come from and it was such a blatant rip off...

Looks like the people at Inhabit picked up on their look too.
