More bedroom! After spending a delicious night at W Hotel a few years ago, we drunkenly ordered the bedding we had slept on from the W Hotel Store. When it arrived, we discovered that it all came from Pacific Coast.
Pacific Coast is a Seattle based old-time purveyor of down filled comforters, pillows, feather beds and covers. Quality is high and because they aren't a fancy name, prices are pretty good and great if you get them on sale (which is right now).
Pacific Coast has a wide range. They sell down and non feather alternatives for allergy-prone folks, and Eco bedding as well. We recommend the bottom of the line feather bed ($150 king) and their King Size pillows for behind all the others. You can also find PC sold at Bed, Bath & Beyond. MGR

I have a Pacific Coast down comforter, and it's great. It keeps me warm in winter and breaths well enough to use most of the summer. I have owned it for at least 5 years and there has been NO DOWN SHIFTING at all. None. Zilch. Doesn't get better than that.
I wasn't so satisfied with my Pacific Coast down comforter that I bought at BB and B last year. The quality was okay and the price was fine. But the measurements were definitely "short" about three inches on a side from what the stated measurements were supposed to be. As a result, I always had the feeling there wasn't enough comforter to cover two people. And that was with a "king" size for a queen size bed. I emailed the company and never got a response. So in short, make sure you know how big your bed is, and bring a measuring tape to the store!
