Level Rug from CB2

3-3-level-rug-1.jpg We walked-through CB2 over the weekend and fell in love with the unique texture of their Level Rug. It reminded us of Patricia Urquiola's Sliding & Strip Rugs (at a significantly lower price point!). Only available in a cool, neutral gray, the Level Rug's shape resembles shingles or a tiled roof...

The texture was wonderful underfoot and would make an excellent rug for a bedroom! The wool Level Rug is available in two sizes: 5' x 8' for $299 and 8' x 10' for $599 from CB2.

I like it, it's different. But it looks like it would be a pain in the arse to have to vacuum.

Does anyone have the Level Rug? I was thinking about purchasing it but instead got West Elm's beanstalk rug in putty/clay. I was pretty torn between the two, so if anyone has either rug, I'd love to know your thoughts. Thanks.

I love it. And although I pride myself in being a voracious CB2 catalog reader, I confess I missed it in the recent catalog. Thanks AT! It's already been added to a client project!!

my neighbors just got one and borrowed my $40 vacuum to clean it. it worked fine! i don't think it's too tough of a job. it did shed quite a bit. maybe it's just the new carpet getting settled. it does look nice though. subtle color with lots of texture. so interesting, not busy.

I have this rug and I like it a lot. I think that the close-up photos are making it seems as though the gradations are deeper than they actually are. If you saw it in person, I don't think you'd be as concerned about vacuuming it. I haven't found it to be different from my other rug, which doesn't have a texture like this.

It's a nice neutral color and it has shed much less than the wool Maison rug that I got from Crate and Barrel.

Hope that helps!
