Forget water beds, this is even more fun. This is a totally new idea. That is, at least, to us. The Float Bed is the brainchild of Max Longin (Germany) and represents a new weightless way to sleep at night. Since we first blogged him, Max has totally revamped his site and has more lovely pics...

He's also got all the pricing info you need (we paste below). While this isn't for everyone, it definitely is for the bachelor who is looking for the ultimate toy. (via Funfurde)

where can i find this?
This would be great with a memory foam matress. I tinker quite a bit and have thought about hanging a bed frame from the ceiling ... while not easily moved, it could prove interesting.
I'm not so sure about this being a great bachelor buy. Looks like it's pretty much just for sleeping and wouldn't hold up to much else ...
Note to self: do not use this bed after a night out clubbing, because the spins will be real. Well, not spins, but not solidity either!
Otherwise, interesting concept. I'd want to try it for a week before buying one, though.
Reminds me of the rocking horse on springs we had as children!
I'm with you ridge...too much, uh, vigorousness and you might end up on the floor. And with no headboard and being inches away from the wall on all sides, what happens to the rhythm?
Mind, aren't they expensive? I think I can get my local tailpipe guy to make one for fractions. Won't be the real thing, tho. Can't afford the real thing...too bad.
I disagree - I think this bed is less for sleeping and more for... fun. Just in time for Valentine's Day!
It's a beautiful bed. I bet you could build something similar (though not as sleek) using pipes and kee-clamps. Or going off click chick's suggestion build a solid base a few feet shorter than the bed platform and put the whole thing on springs (Leaf springs or coil springs from a junkyard?).
