Niels Bendtsen's Beds

2-8-frame.jpg

Modern Comfort. Trolling the web for ideas for Bedroom Month, we kept finding beds we liked by Niels Bendtsen. Frame, above, is our favorite because the slipcovered headboard is washable and available in over 300 colors! Bendtsen's design firm, Bensen, provides a few designs to DWR, where there is a general bio about the designer...

Reve Onto and Reve are strikingly similar...maybe Onto was rebranded for DWR?

Why aren't there any nice simple beds that aren't built so low to the ground? I love to "climb into" but want a clean simple (inexpensive?) frame...

That might be a interesting poll of AT readers. Personally I prefer a "low" bed I don't have to "climb into". It seems most contemporary style beds have a lower platform often with just a matress while more traditional matress and boxsprings are much higher off the ground.

Garnet Hill has a simple, inexpensive platform bed ($368) that's tall. Here's teh link to it: http://www.garnethill.com/jump.jsp?itemID=11994&itemType=PRODUCT&path=1%2C2%2C5%2C8577%2C8578&iProductID=11994
