Over at The Homebound, Jessica McKay worked a little magic on a boring little white stool. Her project involved a little paint, a pillowcase, an iron-on paper! See the result here.

Voilà! She spray painted the base with a high gloss blue. The peacock is Jessica's own illustration that she printed on iron-on paper. She cut the pillowcase, cut out the peacock and ironed it on the sheet. Then Jessica stretched the newly embellished fabric around the seat and stapled it. What a unique way to use iron-on! Thanks, Jessica!

Where are the peacock's feet?

I wonder how that beautiful peacock would have looked on the original damask?

It should be Jessica McKay, not Jenny, according to the original source...

@jenc Thanks for the correction. Obviously, multitasking is not a good idea for me!

I thought the white stool was the after, and I find it much more beautiful and elegant than the legless peacock one. Sorry, but I think it's an improvment. However, if SHE likes it, then who am I to complain.

I wanted to say I didn't think it was an improvement.

At first I also thought the white stool was the After and recoiled in horror. Love the real After. As for the peacock's missing feet: He is standing in a snowbank.

Not so sure about this one, if for no other reason than that iron-on paper doesn't really stand up to a lot of wear. I'd never put it on the seat of anything. The illustration itself is nice, though, and the dark-painted wood would look nice with a more appropriate fabric.
