They make trash happy. Found at Mxyplyzyk last year, we recently went back to buy three more. These bright orange buckets are light, strong, easy to clean, inexpensive, and come in three different sizes ($14-$18). We think they're hot in our office, but we can also see using them at home with kids or in a kitchen.

why spent $14 dollars when we can buy the same buckets and as colorful as these at a dollar store or walmart for not more 3 dollars . I have a bright pink and a bright blue bucket which I bought 4 years ago for 2.50 from walmart and I still have it.
I have multiple uses for them. and my kid finds it pretty too
La Poubelle Agreee! (Yes, 3 letter E's in that word and a coupla accents over some of them but I don't know how to do the diacriticals here. See Italo Calvino for the real thing.)
I got mine for 14.95 (plus shipping) at Gardeners Supply

plus they have lots of colors. I think in their recent catalog, if you buy two, you get a few bucks off, but I don't see the same offer on their web site.
they're cute too bad you couldn't get me into that store even if they were selling bootleg copies of an angelina jolie/adriana lima sex tape.
ok i take it back. i'd go there to buy that tape. but i would be deeply, deeply conflicted.
They look good but I question the benefit in buying a bucket that takes two hands to hold as opposed to the traditional bucket that only takes one hand...
I bought 2 red ones in my company store for $1 each. Ok, that might not help you, but it shows you what the true value is for these.
You can find these in Chinatown for much cheaper or in 99¢ stores. Also check large Chinese grocery stores in their household section.
They actually only take one hand to hold. They're very flexible and you just gather both handles up the way you would a tote bag or shopping bag.
Until you've used a tub trug (which is what this is) they seem pretty unimpressive. I have both hard-sided buckets and several tub trugs and LOVE the trugs (but use both).
They're wide enough to put a lot of garden material, laundry, trash in. Plus, when you gather the handles, you can pour out of them nicely. I've mixed cement in them and was able to pop the remnants out easily because of the flexible construction.
It's a tool like any other. Not always necessary but, if it suits your needs, wonderful to have.
Oh I see! - they are flexible and you use them like baskets!
In the UK buckets are for water or wet stuff - if you filled a flexible bucket with water and then attempted to pull the sides together to take it outside to wash your car I suspect you may have problems!!
But used as baskets or bags they might be quite useful...
I got a blue one just like the one pictured at the local Farmer's feed supply store for $10. They use them as feed buckets for horses and cows. I use mine for my baby's laundry. If she has some stained/extra-dirty clothes, I can just lug the bucket into the bathroom, fill with soap and water and let everything soak before taking to the washing machine. Can't do that with a 'normal' laundry basket!
