Anticipation. The cover story of today's am New York is all about Living Small in the Big Apple. Tales of extreme-teeny and an online audio slideshow of a 295 sq. ft. apartment are making us eager for this year's Smallest Coolest Contest! Via Curbed.

loves it.
Nicely done, but not as small as I expected!
I've got to measure my studio 'cause I know it's smaller than this.
Great color choices.
Too trendy for me.
i love love this apartment. i'm stealing some ideas.
It looks like they have a garden. That's a tiny apartment cheat!!! They have 295sf of INDOOR space, plus ??? outdoor space.
Listen carefully, children: In Flatbush, $2K gets you a fully renovated, prewar classic six ... Why did I spend so many years living in overpriced Manhattan???
Where's all their stuff? I lived in an apt this size with my ex-husband and we did not have nearly enough room to store our clothes and books, and neither of us were packrats.
I want a style-choice dissection like we get on AT! What's the provenence (provenance?) of the B&W print (fabric?) over the bed?The shelves under that? The white branch-like detail on the wall of the main room, next to the door? The paint brands and color names?
Oh yes, I remember this apartment from one of AT's first contests (color, I think). How come no mention that they've been on here before? Did you forget? ;)
Yup, here it is. K/B's Madison Reflection from Smallest Coolest 2006. I will always remember that great screen door that they have.

It seems that they've upgraded a bit since the contest last year. Sofa, TV, Dwell? bedding, better framing for the art etc.. Nice job.
I don't see where they keep their clothes and personal stuff?!?!
this reminds me of the apartment ad that used the west elm photo. not much personality.
