The print version had more pictures--he did a great job with the apartment. 187 sq feet is a little deceptive--because there is an upstairs bedroom and bathroom--but I'm sure it's still a pretty small place.

I will try to get pictures scanned in if someone doesn't beat me to it.

Yeah, if you read the article it sounds more like he has a 187 square foot living room and a separate kitchen, bedroom and bathroom. Not exactly the same thing. A little misleading.

Clearly, this story is about the occupant's using a decorator for his living room of 187 square feet. But it doesn't pretend to be anything else. Of course, if the main room is that small, the bedroom must be even smaller, which means the entire apratment isn't very spacious. And the work on the room, and the tips, can be applied to any small space.

I'd love to have an AT DC, but I worry that we don't have enough diversity of local shopping options to warrant it. What would our local bloggers say?

I agree with SYB. While DC residents understand the small-space life style, we don't have a lot to offer in terms of shopping. It would be nice, though, if we could have an occasional guest post the way AT Europe is profiled and maybe one of the more design-saavy DC bloggers could cover our area?

Even though we don't have as many places to shop as NY, I am pretty sure, between DC, MD, & VA, we have just as many places to shop as Chicago. (Maybe I'm wrong) At any rate, there seems to be more than enough member that reside in the DC area to support a AT:DC. With all of the gentrification, I mean growth going on in this city, it makes sense to me.
