We just got a hot tip about a magazine that we didn't know existed. Canadian House and Home has just undergone a makeover and features a good article on designing for small spaces:
The September issue of Canadian House & Home ROCKS even more than usual.
Dedicated to living large in small spaces, it features some great stylish homes where some of our more stylish neighbors to the North made their impact with furniture, color and ingenious use of space.
And Canadian House & Home? Maybe this is another reason the best Americans all come from Canada. (Thanks, Patrick!) MGR

So can this easily be found in NYC?
And... has anyone received an offer for a new mag called "Elements of Living (The Design Source)"?
BTW... I got an email from Topica confirming my email adress and then I got a bona-fide Apartment Therapy mail!!!
Yes, please, where can this magazine be bought?
I'm not from NYC - I'm from Canada! - but I'm addicted to this blog. House and Home has become the best home mag in Canada over the last few years (used to be not so great) - and they also have a half hour show on HGTV Canada.
I don't know where to find it in your city, but the website is houseandhome.com, so you could probably e-mail for their distribution info.
Style at Home is another terrific Canadian home magazine.
Both usually do their organizing/small space issues in September.
folks - house and home can be obtained from barnes and noble or universal news.
house and home is the most popular home magazine in canada. worth checking out (but not available in the us) is canadian homestyle and your source (which comes out quarterly). canadian homestyle has a conservative/contemporary feel. your source has a "wallpaper" sort of bent.
another canadian magaizine worth checking out is canadian country living - which unfortunately not available in the us.
Another great Canadian design magazine is Style at Home. Their website's not so great (http://www.styleathome.com/) but the magazine's been a consistently good source of Canadian sources for good and often inexpensive design for years. It has small space features quite often.
FYI, I bought a copy of this issue at Borders at the Time Warner Center at Columbus Circle.
It's definitely not super easy to find. My strategy was to call Barnes & Noble locations until I finally found one that had it and would hold it for me.
