Green Style. Just finished Organic Style over the weekend. It continues to get the thumbs up for not doing all the dumb things that Real Simple does, and for being interesting.
This issue includes a small article on green materials, Eco Building Blocks, which has some good tips on bamboo flooring, natural paint, an energy saving dishwasher, and other household materials. (via OrganicStyle) MGR

Along the same lines, does anyone know of a store in NYC (preferably downtown) where you can buy eco-friendly paint and finishes?
I love Organic Style too, but are women the only ones interested in organic products and lifestyle? I think not. I always feel like I'm buying a girlie magazine when I get it and want to tell the saleperson "It's for my wife," even though I DON'T have one. Can we start an e-mail campaign to OS to encourage them to butch it up?
Oops, wrong URL....sorry.
Brian: get ahold of yourself. Do you really think that the salesperson cares what magazine(s) you buy? This is almost as bad as buying condoms regularly so that cute corner-store clerk still thinks you have a sex-life. Anybody that judges you by your magazine purchase isn't worth knowing.
I was being overly dramatical to make a point that I wish there more guy stuff in the magazine....and the cute corner-store clerk KNOWS I have a sex life! :)
I agree with Brian. It's not the fact that Organic Style markets to women, but that the content could be more "co-ed" in general. I think READY MADE magazine does a nice job of providing ideas that benefit lifestyles of men and women. Eco-lifestyle is something that crosses genders, political parties, and hopefully in the not-too-distant future, classlines as well.
