There seems to be a mid-century modern feeling in the air, undoubtedly inspired by a certain television show on AMC Sunday nights (not that I watch it or anything).

Erwin Olaf, a book of cinematic images made by the photographer of the same name, parallels the styles of not only the beautiful interiors shown in the program, but also the detached elegance its characters portray. Monochromatic color schemes and unique seating pieces are particularly striking.
The 128-page hardcover book, published by Aperture Foundation, is available for $45.50 at Amazon. After you're done using it as inspiration, it'll look boss on your coffee table.

Have no clue what this show is about, but everyone in these pictures looks as though they've just received tragic news.

Just wanted to add I think it's absurd how expensive Midcentury furniture is getting. I was on Atlantic Avenue this past weekend and the prices were making my eyes hurt.
