Hip. We have had a subscription to ID Magazine for over a year now, but the time has finally come to say how impressed we are with this magazine. Of all the magazines we read: shelter, design, etc, ID is the one we have come to look forward to most.
It has an impeccable design layout, great photography and articles that really give you a sense of what is going on across the far reaches of the design community. It is also not sensational in anyway, but rather generous, curious and modest.
This month's edition previews an upcoming show at the Cooper Hewitt, "Extreme Textiles," an interview with Eames Demetrios, and a cool new design for the traditional chicken house. It is great read. MGR

How about Metropolis? How do you feel the two magazines measure up? Are they reiterating the same sort of information or do you think they compliment one another in a constructive way? I used to subscribe to Metropolis, and a host of other magazines, but since moving downtown, I've let every subscription lapse.
