BKLYN Designs: Transforming Table by Big Prototype

5-14-bigprototype-table-1.jpg

5-12-bklyn-designs.jpg We remember spotting this table during the fair, but we had no idea it transformed until we spotted it on swissmiss. Transforming tables are very popular here at AT (see our post: Best Adjustable Coffee Tables 2008) and we'll be sure to watch out for more designs from Big Prototype...

There is an animation on the Big Prototype site that quickly explains how the table transforms. Check it out in their "products" section. Via: swissmiss.

That's a great design - much better looking (and seemingly easier to use) than other adjustable tables I've seen.

I would build a whole room onto my house to put something this genius in it.

First I gotta build a house.

huh.

seems suspiciously similar to the table featured in Cookie a while back -- the pictures of the transformable table were originally in here, and it was credited to Mathias Frei, an architect from Zurich

(designed in 2005 by Matthias Frei -- essentially the same table...)
