1 The Uhuru booth showcasing their new Standard Chair.
2 The Standard Chair uses found carved wooden chair backs and completes them with a steel plate seat and legs — it's available in 6 colors.
3 The joint between wood and metal.
4 The oval back is completed with and industrial expanded aluminum mesh.
5 Standard Chair in white.

6 The Stitched Table uses a slab of walnut that naturally split in 2 and reinforces the table surface with stitches made from recycled detergent bottles.
7 Uhuru's Metal Stooolen is made from metal scrap from the design studio.

Sustainability is one thing - but when it comes at the expense of style such as those chairs, it's not worth the effort.

Is the designer of these chairs anticipating a lot of customers with perfectly flat bottoms? They look damned uncomfortable to me; and that's before we even get to the ugly.
