Got some work to do? We have used Chelsea Fine Custom Kitchens for bigger, more complicated jobs, and they recommended Anthony Riccio to us for smaller jobs... or not so small.
Anthony and his crew can handle small renovations, kitchen and bathroom work, painting and floors. We have met him and recieved estimates from him, and we like him. He is smart, fair and pleasant to deal with.
He recently helped us renovate our apartment, and he gave us the impression of someone who is working hard to do a good job and move up in the city. Email: adconstr@aol.com. MGR
Know Anthony Riccio? Comment below...

Anthony Riccio and AD Construction worked on my apartment for several months and did a great job. Anthony was completely available at all times, is a focused project leader, and was full of resources to refer me to. His team(s) work extremely hard, are very talented, and keep the work site as clean as possible. On top of all the great performance, Anthony became a friend and counselor during my renovations. I would encourage anyone to talk to Anthony about renovating their apartment. I will definitely be working with Anthony again.
Anthony & his partner Dmitri are spot on. I worked with them on a major renovation of half of my apt that turned out absolutely beautiful. I love it. Everyone on his team is courteous and exceptional at their craft. When you spend the few extra dollars for his services you really get top shelf quality, and solid and timely communication (absolutely no run-around). I'm definitely a hands on person and Anthony & Dmitri were amazing to plan things with especially regarding scope of the project. Without hesitation, I would recommend them to anyone looking for a contractor who is willing to pay a little more for a substantial upgrade in quality & service. You will be very happy.
I cannot recommend Anthony and his crew highly enough. We would definitely hire them again.
As a G.C., Anthony was totally accessible, always taking my calls and making sure that my wife and I felt totally comfortable. He was very patient with us and encouraged us to make our own decisions, never trying to railroad us. Finally, he was very honest and managed our expectations.
His crew was amazing. We had the same two workers the entire time (four weeks). They worked very fast and the quality of their workmanship was amazing. They were polite and courteous, cleaned up after themselves, and really seemed to care about making our apartment look beautiful.
The finished product speaks for itself. We couldn't be happier.
As mentioned above, A.D. isn't the cheapest, the extra amount took our renovation to another level.
Call them, you won't regret it.
Anthony and his contracting partner Dimitri did an fabulous, comprehensive renovation of our four bedroom, two bathroom apartment. He was always available to answer questions and offer advice on technical matters. He and Dimitri were frank, but gentle in suggesting alternative ways to achieve certain design ideas. They were very responsive to requests for correcting work that was not quite up to our standards. His men were polite craftmen who worked very hard to achieve the best result possible within a tight deadline.
We have heard so many complaints about contractors who did a lousy job, were unavailable, and walked away from half completed projects. We have only the highest compliments for Anthony and his men. We couldn't be happier with the results that they produced and would recommend them without hesitation.
I just started a kitchen renovation with Anthony this week (12/06), so far so good. Anthony has been totally available, very straight forward and very pleasant to deal with. I'll post the results when he is finished with the job.
Anthony and Dimitri finished my kitchen and hall renovation last week (on schedule!!), and it is spectacular. The workmanship is superb, every detail was carfully considered and they were totally respectful of the rooms that were not being renovated.
I cannot recommend them highly enough. It was a complete pleasure from start to finish. My only suggestion is to get in with them now....surely their schedules will be totally booked very soon.
Anthony and his company AD Construction are awesome! They have always met or exceeded our requirements for high quality work thus we have given them a ton of repeat business for our New York and Michigan residences. The first job they did was an emergency bathroom repair in our NY apartment. The walls were collapsing due to excess moisture and the room had to be gutted and completely renovated in two weeks because it was in our primary residence. Anthony was extremely helpful and even took me to tile and plumbing stores on the weekend to quickly select materials. And need I say it? They met the deadline and the room was spectacular. I could go on and on but I'll try to summarize. From then on, we went straight to Anthony for everything. His company renovated our kitchen as a surprise present for my husband while we were away for Christmas vacation and among other jobs totally remodeled two apartments that we had on the market. Last but certainly not least, Anthony flew to Michigan on multiple weekends to do general contracting for our nine bedroom lakeside home. Here he needed to quickly source local contractors and manage them mostly from a remote location. I don't know how he did it but somehow everything worked out perfectly from painting, cabinets and granite down to electrical upgrades and even included wiring for a computer network. I think you get the idea... Pictures are available
Anthony and his crew renovated my kitchen and did an excellent job with a very difficult installation (a small space packed with built-in appliances). He insists on doing a quality job, which in my case meant rebuilding all the kitchen walls and replacing much of the wiring--unexpected extra work he managed to fit into the schedule (and he didn't charge excessively for it). He listens well, and is always available. A great guy and I highly recommend him.
Ours is a 100 year old limestone house in Lefferts Manor, Brooklyn. Anthony was recommended by Park Slope Kitchen Gallery on Prospect Avenue; they recommend him to all their customers and we could see why. Anthony and Dmitri's team always showed up on time, were polite and professional, and did quality work. Our kitchen was particularly difficult because of badly-done plumbing by the previous owner, and because of sloping floors typical to old old houses. But these guys dealt with it all. We have a beautiful kitchen. On price, be prepared, good kitchen contractors are not cheap in NYC. We found Anthony's quote to be about the same as what we got from other contractors.

Anthony and AD Construction did a fantastic job on our kitchen renovation. As this was our first time working with a contractor, we were quite nervous but everything worked seamlessly with Anthony and his crew. Anthony is always accessible, great with resources, and very patient. His crew is professional as well, and careful about keeping the renovation (ie, supplies, dust, equipement) contained in the apartment. The finished kitchen is fantastic and surpasses our expectations. Thank you!

When we bought our first apartment in New York, we did not have any contacts to help us begin our remodel. We were referred to Anthony Riccio and his partner Dmitri Kallakin. We decided to contact Anthony to discuss our plans. We did an extensive remodel from floors, kitchen, bathroom, electrical, etc, and Anthony and his team did a fantastic job!! They were perfectionists every step of the way, and were always available to problem solve, make changes when necessary, and continued to help us after the remodel was complete when we had other things we decided to do. We highly recommed him and his team to anyone who is considering having work done, and would use him again in a heartbeat.

After three very bad experience with contractors, Anthony and his crew were like a lifesaver. They were extremely professional about the estimates on the job and realistic as well. I would recommend them to anyone.

I had a bad experience with Anthony Riccio. I would not recommend him. we were recommended to him by a friend and after 4 weeks of him telling us I'll start next week, he just stopped returning our phone calls. I think this is very unprofessional and he wasted over a month of our time.

I must disagree with the last comment. Anthony came highly reccomended to me through a Business Associate of mine. I had quite an extensive list of items that needed to be addressed in our new home, including a few major renovations. An initial meeting was scheduled, and met. Our ideas were discussed, as well as his opinions, decisions were made and the job was scheduled. It started on time, as promised, and the work was completed more than satisfactorily!
I was very happy with the quality and professionalism of Anthony and his staff. Needless to say he had a very diverse crew - I would highly reccomend this company to any and all of my business associates.

We were lucky enough to find Anthony and his crew for renovation of our union square loft. After a previous contractor had left us in the lurch, we called Anthony based on reviews from this website. He responded immediately, meeting us the next day to go over everything, presented us with a quote, and commenced work the next day. He and his team were very fast and communicative, tolerating a very pregnant woman's constant changes and requests. They delivered on everything they said, and everybody he put us in touch with-from the electrician to the plumber-were excellent and fairly priced. After all the work was done, one little thing needed tweaking, and Anthony came out and made sure the job was done and we were happy. Navigating New York construction can be a nightmare, with Anthony you are getting a great job for a fair price.

Job completed. We’re very happy with the results.
We worked with Quintessentials Kitchen and Bath (Upper West Side).
We especially appreciated their recommending Anthony Riccio and AD Custom Interiors as contractors for the job. They were “on time” and “on budget.” Their work was professional and high-quality. The guys Anthony used were skilled, courteous, and professional. They cleaned up the job site everyday, minimized disruption for us, and interacted professionally with the building superintendent and condo association management. Our neighbors were hardly aware that there was construction going on in our unit.
A renovation is never easy, but this job went very well.

We were refered to Anthony and Ad Custom Interiors to do tile flooring. Anthony was very personable, honest and professional in consulting with us about our needs, wants and concerns. We were very hesitant about doing the bathrooms because of building regulations, building codes etc. He hand walked us through the process, he refered us to quality suppliers of bathroom fixtures, kitchen cabinets, tile and wood flooring. He and his men have hands of gold. We were in awe of the quality of the bathroom work, from the plumbing to the "mud job" on the walls to the finished tile and oak doors. We love the work they have done for us and would highly, highly reccommend them. Anthony told us in the beginning if we trust him and listen to him the job will be better and faster. We did and he was so right. We cannot say enough about them.

Anthony and his team did renovation work to my kitchen and some other assorted tasks. His work was great and he was easy to get ahold of and very accessible. Throughout the project some of the tasks became more difficult and we added on some items as well and Anthony was great with everything that came his way. Even when the work was over we needed him for some other things once we moved in and he was always available. I would highly recommend him.

We've worked with many contractors in the past, and Anthony and his crew are far and away the very best.
He employs professional artisans who do their jobs extremely well -- and he is checking up on it regularly. Another thing we've noticed is that all his workers seem to really like and admire him -- as we do, of course.
He is now on his third job for us -- we wouldn't consider using anyone else for any work we need done, large or small. I have already recommended him to others and will continue to do so whenever I can.

We were very frustrated finding a contractor in Manhattan who was even interested in working on our little bathroom in our 600 square foot co-op unit. Everyone else we'd ever found was only interested in $50,000 jobs, barely spoke English, or never returned phone calls or e-mails.
We walked into a tile store in the neighborhood and asked them who they would use for a smaller job, and they pointed us to Anthony.
This worked out very well. He knows all the local bath/plumbing/tile vendors, who gave us discounts based on our relationship with Anthony. His boys tore out the previous bathroom and rebuilt it from the studs up. He estimated the job would take 10-13 working days, and I think it wound up taking exactly 13.
His guys followed all the co-op rules about construction. When their English skills fell short, Anthony was good about stepping in to translate and to make sure everyone understood everything.
Anthony isn't a big fan of paperwork. Our co-op had a lot of forms they needed filled out, and getting through them together, with all the back and forth, took months. But rather than throwing his hands up, he stuck with it. Everything got done with a handshake and a promise, rather than a detailed legal contract, which worried me at first. And there was never any detailing of material or labor costs or estimates - just an agreed big round number to get the job done. But it worked out great in the end, and finally we have a nice bathroom!
Next, we have to figure out when we are ready for his team to attack our kitchen.

Anthony Riccio had an opportunity to overcharge me and he did, by at least double (I let him know that no one called me back for this very small job-3 ft by 10 ft-and I'd be willing to pay for his trouble). Furthermore, he promised a level of skill with mosaic tiles that his worker did not possess. In fact, his worker had never done work with glass tile before and complained to me bitterly about it. The job took 6 hours and he charged $1,500. And in charging that much he wanted me to get the adhesive and the grout. Ironically, just before he arrived another very reliable contractor called back with the real price ($400), but it was already too late, I didn't want to screw the worker.
I advise you to negotiate on price if working with Anthony.

I have used Anthony Riccio and his team on two separate occassions with VERY positive results.
First, he completed a gut renovation of our bathroom: floor to ceiling tile, raising the ceiling from 9ft to 12 ft, and installing all bathroom fixtures and plumbing. His guys were courteous and respectful, and they did an amazing job. Excellent craftsmanship with the tile. A all around.
Second, I called him 3 yrs later to renovate our kitchen soup to nuts: tile floor, backsplash, cabinet installation with underlighting plus installation of all appliances (dishwasher, convection oven/microwave with new vent, refrigerator/freezer with water dispenser). Once again, top quality job.
Anthony is a straight-shooter. I trust him all the way. He tells you if it will cost more to do things the "right" way. He does high-quality work, so he charges fairly for the work he does. Plus, he is a great guy. I have referred him to three other people and everyone is happy with his work. I highly recommend Anthony.

I am currently close to the end of my complete bathroom renovation for which I used Anthony Riccio and his team and I can say that it has been a wonderful experience; the bathroom was a gut renovation of my prewar West Village bathroom and I now have beautiful floor to ceiling tile, dropped ceiling with recessed lighting, and fantastic fixtures, as suggested by Anthony. There were some plumbing issues related to the age of the building but Anthony and his crew handled it all beautifully and got raves from the building's crew and manager. The tile was purchased from Bella tile at Anthony's suggestion, and they could not have been nicer to work with. In addition, Anthony put me in touch with Melissa at Smolka plumbing supply. Melissa helped me with the fixture selection, got me a really good price on everything and it was all ordered and ready to go when she promised it would be. I was going to stop with the bathroom but found that I really trust and like Anthony and his crew, so they are now completing skim coating and painting, and referred me to a flooring refinisher who will start on Tuesday. I will definitely report back once that is done, but I know that it will be great because everything that Anthony has suggested so far has worked out. I found him to be totally accessible, he calls back and shows up when he says he will, and his fees are fair and reasonable given the high quality work.
Anthony is honest and tells it like it is. I know I already said it but I trust him all the way. I can't stop thinking of Murphy Brown (the late 1980's sit com) and Eldin her painter who never left; I don't want Anthony and his crew to leave, they are that good. HIGHLY RECOMMEND !!! I will update you on the floors once they are done.

The floors are done and they are beautiful. Vince Clementi of Clementi's Custom Wood Floors did a great job repairing the defects from an old radiator I had removed and a few holes from an old Murphy Bed. He then did a custom stain that is light and warm, and different from everyone else's. He came when he said he would and was done when promised. On top of that he is a really nice guy.

In 2003 Anthony Riccio meticulously managed the renovation of my bathroom in a New York City apartment building that is 100 years old. The room was gutted down to the original brickwork and Anthony's finished product was show room display quality. I could have not been more satisfied with his attention to detail, the skill, dedication and reliability of his talented work crew (they did not miss a day of work), the experience and knowledge of both Anthony and Dmitri (his partner) in their expert planning and recommending additions to the bathroom that I was not familiar with and that enhanced both the appearance and utility of the room. As a postscript, in April, 2008, my bathroom had extensive water damage due to a broken water pipe in the building and Anthony was able to restore the room to its original pristine condition. I highly recommend Anthony Riccio as a Contractor who knows how to get the job done seamlessly and expertly and who will consistently produce a premium product.

Anthony and his team of very talented workmen just finished a renovation project of my kitchen.
I live in a building that is well over one hundred years old and i was very apprehensive about the stability of the existing walls. Anthony took the time to not only consult with me on this project but to make very smart recommendations as to the best appliances as well as cabinet makers to fit my budget.
His expert guidance made the project proceed without any complications.
Through the entire process Anthony was always responsive to any question or concern I had and was always ready to take my calls or answer my emails at any time during the day.
He and his team started and completed the total job in just under three weeks with no unforeseen costs.
I could not be happier with the work he did or the final outcome.
I would recommend him to anyone looking for a responsible talented contractor for any size job.
I am planning to make some much needed upgrades to my bathroom and I will definitely call Anthony.
