For The New York Times' list, see For Those Obscure Objects You Might Really Need. We also suggest checking out Here Be Old Things. What is your favorite New York area flea market?

Hate to bring this up and it's the only reason I avoid buying used furniture, but bedbugs can live in wood. How do you really check for this? Otherwise, I'd love to start shopping!

Here Be Old Things is tres cool! Lots of sidelines to the New York antiques scene with attention being paid to the quirky both high-level and low-level as well as the classic. Writing is fun and clever. Definitely look this one up!

Thanks for the plug, Wnyken, but, uh, you're my mom. (That's what I get teaching her to use the computer.) AT, thanks for mentioning Here Be Old Things in the same post as the Times article. The Brooklyn Flea is a great idea and I can't wait for next Sunday. I really hope it's a success.
