2004_12_3_trailier.jpgGood faith furniture. We recently recieved the tipoff that Trailer Park (Park Slope) has "amazing" prices and selection, as well as "accomodating and friendly" service for "anyone fo wants Amish handcrafted barnwood furniture." Say's Eileen:

They beat any price for comparable farm tables, bookshelves, hutches etc. They also deliver for a reasonable price.

2004_12_3_bookcase.jpgThey also have a very funky collection of vinatge 1950s-1970s home furnishings and accessories. that changes about every week. It's a really fun, funky source for hip New Yorkers, families with kids, professionals, stylish singles...

Prices ARE good and this looks very much like a much classier version of Gothic Cabinet Craft. A 44" unfinished new pine bench is $75, farm tables run from $400-$600, and their armoire with drawers goes for $1150. (Thanks, Eileen!) MGR

I love Trailer Park. I have a great tall book case and one of their Amish Farm Tables. I decided on a six foot table. I use it for eating, dinner parties, cooking, folding laundry, . . . it's the center of my apartment. I had a problem with it once and Chris from TRailer Park came over and fixed it up for me. You can customize the legs for different looks. They are great about helping you pick out chairs to go with your new table too.

I love trailer park! I decorated my apt. slowly, as i always wanted to add something from trailer park - be it a chair, table, linens, or a vaseor painting, their taste is impeccable, unique, always on the tipping point, and always affordable. now i have an entire house to furnish and decorate and can't wait to see how the folks at t. park are inspired each week - i may have to buy their taste right out from under them. the staff makes it so pleasant, so homey- there is not a touch of snobbery here. by far, the most inspired and inspiring shop in ny for the home - and i am a snob...!

Great group of people at Trailer Park and it is really a gem in terms of finding deals. I decorated my entire living room with amish furniture and it cost me less than 2k, plus I got a bunch of funky "this and thats" that really made my new house a home! Highly recommended!
