It seems that Nicole Farhi has expanded in the grand tradition of all designers who get restless (and probably have investors breathing down their back). Her 202 shop in Chelsea is a cafe/brasserie cum home and lifestyle store featuring a rich array of clothing and textiles, ceramics, furniture, accessories and other housewares... and, a yummy British brunch to boot.

The good stuff is the glassware and ceramics, which remind us of Alex Marshall. Favorites include her thick glass decanters and white coffee cups and dishes. Prices are upmarket but not unreasonable. The selection is pretty eclectic, with many antiques and a distinctly British ambiance.

This is one of my favorite stores/cafes in all of New York, but where is this mysterious upstairs/downstairs area that you show in the photos?

The brunch there is fantastic, it's definitely worth a Sunday trip from any NY neighborhood. The wait for a table can be long, and service is spotty, but there's the shop to peruse and beautiful people to watch. The food is great.

Zaky, some of these photos are from Nicole Farhi's 202 in Notting Hill, London.

I highly recommend the Tuna Burger with guacamole. SO tasty.

Yes, quite right. I didn't mean to be misleading. Most of them are from the New York store, but a few London ones snuck in there because they were so pretty.

It looks sort of like an Anthropologie that serves food.
