Don't be fooled by their unassuming website and modest west Chelsea shop. Plexi-Craft is the go-to place for off-the-shelf and custom made-to-order furniture and accessories fabricated of acrylic.

All-acrylic or all-glass furniture can work very well in small apartments. It is visually light and you can see through it to surfaces beyond, so it doesn't interrupt whatever you have going on on your floors or walls.

The prices here seem very reasonable, especially when comparing the basic acrylic pieces to designer furniture counterparts. -regina

I love this table and just a few days ago I was looking to purchase a similar Italian glass coffee table with a smaller price tag. I was wondering which would be more durable and easier to keep? Is one more prone to scratches than the other? I figured the pexi glass one would. I'd like anyones advice since I am still considering purchasing the coffee table as well as the side end table. Any feedback on either the glass or plexi glass would be much appreciated.

i'm sure they're very sturdy and safe, but i can't help but feel like they'll break/shatter... looks cool, though

i just purchased a coffee table from plexi-craft. i ordered the waterfall table and had a shelf added. they were a pleasure to deal with and the table was delivered on time.

the plexi is really thick. i think that's what sets it apart from cheaper tables ( like the ones from CB2 that i had considered.)

i've only had it for a few weeks and already, it's scratched all over but just doesn't matter. the little scratches just become part of the overall texture and i don't think they take away from the piece at all.

I absolutely love these products. It's similar to these two items that I've blogged about:

Jane~I actually liked that one but the price tag was pretty high for me. Also, they say you have to purchase the glass top separately. I hope you don't mind me asking if it was a lot more money? Thanks for the advice though. I also saw similar stuff online but was never really sure.

Wow my idea of reasonably priced is way lower than that :(

Jane~'K I thought you just purchased the butterfly one:) I like yours it the same what I've been eyeing but in glass. The glass version I believe takes close to 8-10 weeks delivery on some sites and the prices vary depending on the site as well as the style. There is one exact where they can add on another shelf but the price is about $675.00. I know if I go with the glass it's going to come out to around or about $1,200 including the side end table.

Scratches in acrylic are easy to buff out. Go to Canal Plastics, they've got a buffing solution. It's simple, inexpensive, and effective.
