Creating Sacred Space with Feng Shui

2004_12_19_sacred.jpgThis book is one of the two inspirations for the AT book. Creating Sacred Space With Feng Shui is an AT must read. Knowing about space is one thing, writing about it is another. Karen Kingston is good at both.

Creating Sacred Space With Feng Shui takes you beyond Feng Shui to Space Clearing, a practice that Ms. Kingston has pioneered over the last 20 years. Space Clearing is easier to understand than Feng Shui, making this book a pleasure to read. You will come away with a real appreciation for and understanding of how energy lives in our homes as well as how to keep it flowing and "unstuck."

In addition, deep insights are gained into clutter, how it happens and how to stop it, as well as what provides a good night's sleep. The only problem with this books is that when you are done, you may want to move to Bali.

If you are interested in following up with these ideas, Karen Kingston's website is a virtual hitching post for all that is going on with Space Clearing - including some workshops up in Massachusettes next month, June 06.

I've read Karen's other book about clearing clutter. Every spring, I take it off the shelf, reread, and motivate myself to do a little spring cleaning and purging.

Spring cleaning and purging these days is more than just the home. I recently reviewed boy with an 'i' by David Montalvo and it's a phenominal "spring cleaning" book for our cluttered closets of baggages and emotions!

I haven't read the book yet but I'd already like to move to Bali.

I'm a big believer of feng shui. It's probably why I can't bear to work facing the wall. Having the desk turned sideways just makes my head feel better - even if it makes the furniture arrangement sort of wacky right now. I haven't read this particular book but will take a look on the next trip to B&N.

Just to do some additional vowel clutter clearing:

"massachusetts"

Unless I'm missing some intentional joke, like an attempt to french-ify our state's beautifully difficult name, thus making it more difficult (but less beautiful).
