The system actually lifts your bed so you can make it without stooping over. When it lifts, it is also moved away from the wall, allowing access to the bed on all four sides. We also saw it demonstrated as a lift for use when you're vacuuming. Watch an animation of the device here.
Ezi-Maid was invented for use in hotels, where bed after bed is made and this supposedly saves time and makes it easier on the maids. But we wonder if this has a place in the home, too, especially where beds are in small spaces where lifting them up and away would make tucking in the sheets much easier.
Being as it's "on sale" for $495, I'll just lean over when making my bed.

If the price tag gets any lower I will buy one. I suffer from back pain due to an injury so making my bed is always difficult. On the other hand, I wonder if I'd be losing my off-season storage. sigh

The Ezi maid was a winning entry in The New Inventors, an Australian TV show. See it here www.abc.net.au/tv/newinventors/txt/s1746704.htm

As the inventor of Ezi-Maid I thank you for the exposure. Released late 2006 is being installed in many hotels and motels. Guaranteeing cleaner rooms, happier workers and less injury. As an operational cost it is cheap if written off over 5 years at 30cents per day. The motor has an expected life of over 10,000 cycles which at 70% occupany is in excess of thirty years.
Started in our own Hotel and our housemaids would not stay in the industry if we took away.
Domestically we have started retailing through Sleep City stores.
