Solutions

02-22-solutions.jpgProducts that make life easier? Well, we don't know about that. But that's what Solutions claims to offer.

On browsing their products, however, we found mostly space-wasting gimmicks. There are some jewels here, though, if you take some time and hunt them down. What we liked most:

The Grook Hanger, pictured up top,

the Laundry Box with Wheels, to make the schlep to the laundromat a little more bearable, and

the Magnetic Bamboo File Box. We'd definitely use these to store our takeout menus, which have never really found their proper place in our home.

I actually ordered both the Magnetic Bamboo File Box and the matching spice shelf from their site and I was pleasantly surprised. The file box DOES slide down the side of the fridge when it gets over-filled with magazines, but i sort of works as motivation to throw out the old ones. I reinforced the spice rack with some double-stick tape to keep it from shifting, but it is also wonderful! I noticed that both are also the perfect size for holding aluminium foil/wax paper/etc.

We have the Grook Hanger installed in the entry closet, and it's great for utilizing unused space. One tip: install it higher to give yourself some room on the bottom to tug the broom/mop out of the grip.

I, too, have the Grook Hanger, and it's great for storing swiffer, mop, etc! And I am now going to order those magnetic boxes, as I've been looking for something just like that for years.

One useful thing to get from Solutions: Re-New Floor Cleaner. Makes floors look like they have been refinished.

I would love a mini version of that Grook hanger to stick up inside my medicine cabinet to hold toothbrushes.

wish I had seen the grook in these fun colors. Our grook (bought at BBB a year ago) only had plain black holders. Maybe I can switch them out for these

Janice, 3M makes fun little sticky grook-like small clips. They can stick everywhere, and they come in a strip of 4 or 5 that you can break apart or keep together. I think they were made to hold wires and cords, but inside medicine cabinets work just as well. I know you can get 'em at target.
