Every room -- including the small bathroom in the top floor suite -- has cleverly positioned mirrors of varying sizes, but it's the room-doubling giant mirrors that have the most dramatic impact.

I don't know if constantly seeing my reflection in a mirror is what I look for in a hotel suite. Not in my home for sure.
Anyway I like the white walls, furniture and wooden floors.
Cow leather rugs nauseate me just a bit.

absolutmarie,
this is a "Close Up" specifically about the mirrors.

one of my very first apartments had mirrors in every room and in places i never would have considered. it was beyond annoying to see my reflection everywhere i turned. one or two is enough, but in all the rooms? the first one looks good, and the bathroom...but after that, overkill in my opinion.

these mirrors add to the space, light, and the minimalism, in that they only reflect back that which is already there. they are great. their scale and detail are spot on. this looks like a series of great guest apartments, not an overdesigned corporate hotel space. as to overkill, this is a hotel, you'll be staying in one room. the multiple pictures are for example; you'd only see the room you reserved. thanks for showing us more than we might see on a stay.

I love this. It's dramatic and it works with the simple white. I know blue is all the rage (but peaking, I think?), but I love its use as an accent. And I'm very attracted to white lately.

What's going on with bumping old posts back to the front page AND changing the date. I know the date changed because I specifically looked at it saying May 2 when someone above asked if this was posted last week.

Surprised to see this at the top again.

Wow, mirrors to trick the eye into thinking a room is larger. How inventive...

Has anyone else noticed the TVs in these European posts and how they are small and sit on small end tables? There was even one sitting on a round table. I can't help but compare it to the US trend to house big TVs in even bigger armoires or 6 foot long credenzas.
